2026 Summer Swim Team - Summer 2026

Welcome to the King City Recreation Summer Swim Team.  Please read this thoroughly!

Program is open to children from 7 - 18 years.  Your child must be able to swim across the pool to qualify for the team. The King City Recreation Summer Swim Team is a competitive commitment, not just lap swimming or swimming lessons for your children.  During the summer season, we have roughly only 32 days of practice time. You will be allowed to miss FIVE practices ONLY.

Practice starts June 16 with a swim evaluation at 4:15 and mandatory parent meeting at 5:15 at the Rec Center.  Cost is $160 per child.  If your child doesn't make the team, you will be refunded.  Daily practice time is 4:15 - 5:00 for 7 - 12 year olds, and 5:00 - 6:00 for 13 - 18 year olds, Tuesday - Fridays.

We are working on TWO local swim meets during the summer - dates and location to be announced.

2026 Session 1 Swim 6/2 - 6/12 PM Only - Summer 2026

Please read all of the information prior to registering your child.

Session 1 will be held June 2- June 12 AFTERNOONS ONLY, Tuesday - Friday.  Please no goggles or masks unless your child wears contacts or needs them medically. 

Level 1 - Float Finders, (5 years +)

Level 2 - Primary Skills, (5 years +)

Level 3/4 - Stroke Readiness, (6 years +)

2026 Session 2 Swim 6/16 - 6/26 - Summer 2026

Please read all of the information prior to registering your child.

Session 2 will be held June 10 - June 20.   Tuesday - Friday.  Please no goggles or masks unless your child wears contacts or needs them medically. 

Water Explorers - (6 months to 4 years old) Parent-led water introduction program

Level 1 - Float Finders, (5 years +)

Level 2 - Primary Skills, (5 years +)

Level 3 - Stroke Readiness, (6 years +)

Level 4 - Stroke Development, (7+ years)

Level 5 - Stroke Refinement,(8 years +)

Level 6 - Skill proficiency (8 years +)

Session 2 PRIVATE LESSONS will be held June 10 - June 20 Tuesday - Friday at 10:00 a.m.   This is for ONE lesson.  Please sign up for each day you would like your child to attend.  We do not do refunds for no-shows.  These are one child and one instructor for private lessons, and up to three children and one instructor for a sibling group - you will only be allowed to register ONE child's name in Sibling Group.

Each class is 45 minutes.  No mask or goggles please.   On your class day, please wait outside the pool gate and your instructor will call you in by name. 

2026 Session 3 Swim 6/30 - 7/10 - Summer 2026

Please read all of the information prior to registering your child.

Session 3 will be held June 30 - July 10.   Tuesday - Friday.  Please no goggles or masks unless your child wears contacts or needs them medically. 

Water Explorers - (6 months to 4 years old) Parent-led water introduction program - this is not a lesson where your child will be swimming or water safe.  They will just learn water play and to be comfortable.

2026 Girls Softball - Spring 2026

Welcome to the King City Recreation Girl's Softball Program. PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE THING!

Our league is REC SOFTBALL and not TRAVEL softball.  Everyone PLAYS.   It is about the girls - learning the game, having fun and making friends. This is a fun, skill building program for ALL abilities.

Age groups are 5 - 7, 8 - 10 and 11 - 14 years of age as of August 31, 2025.  Please register where your child belongs for their age.  WE WILL MOVE UP after tryouts, if necessary.  Tryouts held mid-February.  Games will start in March and games will be within an hour travel area.  Under 8 will only travel to Soledad/Gonzales/Greenfield.  Cost is $100 per child.  Sibling discounts available.
